Our Story

Situated on the East Coast of Lincolnshire, in the small rural village of Fulstow, is our lovely family run Chicken Egg Farm, that has been running and supplying the trade and the public for over 50 years.

Founded in 1967 by Keith Coulling, who came to the village with his wife Kate with hopes and dreams of starting their own farming business, after Keith grew up in a successful cow farming family in Cleethorpes. They worked incredibly hard long hours to grow the farm, making investments and taking risks such as putting their house on the line as collateral to invest in new machinery, all in a great effort to make things work. They went out securing new business all over the country and building fantastic customer relationships, many of which are still existing today! At New Haven Poultry Farm, after the happiness of our hens is guaranteed, we put the customer first in everything we do because without our customers, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

Today the business is managed by Keith’s daughter Sarah and her two brothers Darren and Mark. Sarah who deals with almost all of our customers, works tremendously hard planning all new orders, making sure each customer is happy and getting what they require. Darren looks after the welfare and health of the chickens, ensuring they are living happily on our farm because unhappy chickens don’t lay good eggs. He also keeps the farm clean and in tip-top hygienic state, so it is safe and a spotless place for our customers to visit. Mark delivers and organizes transport, ensuring each customer receives their orders on time and he also helps maintain a personable customer service when greeting and delivering our eggs . The farm employs 11 people, all of which we are eternally grateful to have working for us. 4 of these employees run our market stall, situated in the fishing town of Grimsby, in the Top Town Market, so if you’re ever in town, please don’t hesitate to visit have a chat and see what we have in store!

As previously stated, our farm is open to the public and trade, it always has been and always will be! As part of a measure to reduce contact and promote social distancing due to the coronavirus pandemic, we decided to open up a small farm shop, this is a self serve, drive in, collect and drive out kind of shop. We wanted to make it as easy and safe for our customers to get the eggs that they love so very much and are very please that is has been very well received! We are open from 8am til late, so if you require any eggs after the shops have closed and you fancy a drive our to our lovely little village, pop down and we will help you out!
